Screening Area Art Installation
Evansville Regional Airport is a gateway
to Southwest Indiana and is often the first
impression many visitors have when
coming to the area.
The recent expansion and renovation
project included custom artwork. The
theme was the river and how it flows
through our area.
I took a modern approach with bold
shapes representing the land and
buildings with strong, white fluid lines
representing the river. The color palette
compliments the bold blue accent color
chosen for the gate entrance area.
The first piece is 24 feet in length, floor to
ceiling and flows to the second piece
which is over 17 feet in length and is a
continuation of the river. The artwork was
commissioned by Jackson Begley Art Consultants.
